Lately you’ve been feeling more on edge that usual, caught in the endless cycle of to-do lists, feeling like you can never catch up.
As soon as you accomplish the tasks on your list, you feel like there is always more to be done. You hear others say to take it easy, to just relax, but you know it's just not that easy.
You feel that happiness is just around the corner, when you reach that next big thing, you will feel satisfied, then you’ll feel good about yourself, then you will be able to relax. Anxiety has taken a toll on the mind and body and left you feeling burned out.
Burn out looks different for different people, for some it can lead to binge watching your favorite show, binge drinking, zoning out on social media, for others it can come in a form of migraines, irritability, or difficulty sleeping.
Burn out can also lead to depression, which can look like loss of interest or pleasure, overeating, oversleeping, hopelessness and irritability, among other symptoms. Depression therapy can help you discover the root causes of your symptoms and develop a strategy to overcome these feelings.
As a depression and anxiety therapist I use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy where together we will identify thoughts, behaviors and negative core beliefs that are not serving you and work on modifying them to help you fulfill your goals.
You are ready to figure out why you feel the need to overwork yourself, despite the warning signs your body gives you to slow down. You want to find a way to continue your goals and projects, but not feel like a failure because you were not able to do it all.
Anxiety counseling can help you find a balance in your life, and space for what is really important. In our sessions together you will have a chance to slow down and process what is really going on.
We will work together to uncover your hidden potential, the why behind your patterns, and equip you with new tools to meet life’s challenges.
